S.C.W High School | Education - Deesa



Sir Charles Watson Highschool is the first social reformer of Gujarat managed by municipality.its one of the oldest historical schools of Gujarat. the school was established in 1853 A.D. as a private  school.

    At that time this school was given the name 'Anglo vernacular school', one of the types of school during the before independence in India under British rule.
 

   Late Karshandas Mulji, the first social reformer of Gujarat was also the first principal of this school. 
He belonged to the age of Naramad.Having been impressed with Charles Watson, the A.G.G. of that time,
 the Nawab of Palanpur gave this school the new name 'Sir Charles Watson Highschool' on 15-03-1928 since then this school  has been known with  this name.
    Now a days this school is regarded as the biggest school of Deesa city. 
this school has twenty one classes and more than 1500 students are studying in this school.
